
Five medals for Lebanese University in Phase I of the University Athletics League
The Lebanese University won five medals (two gold, two silver and one bronze) in the first phase of the University Athletics League, which was organized at the two tracks of Camille Chamoun Sports City and Antonine University - Baabda.
Ammar Hammoud won the gold in the 110-meter hurdles, and Serena Hayek won the gold in the 1500m.
Hammoud, along with Kevin Artoun, Jimmy Geagea and Hussein Souli, took silver in the 4x100m relay.
Artoun finished second in the 400m and Maryse Nassour took bronze in the 100m hurdles.
The Lebanese University team was accompanied by the head of the Sport Activity Department, Ahmad Hazer, and Activity Officer in Branches 1, Saleh Zaiter.
The sports complex on the campus of the Lebanese University - Hadath and the American University of Beirut track will host the second and final stage of the league on Saturday, 26 April 2025.
