Seminar at the ISS (2) on the experience of the Al-Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut
The Institute of Social Sciences - Branch 2 organized a seminar entitled “The Role of the Civil Sector in Social Intervention: Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Association is a pioneering experience in Lebanon and decades of accumulated achievements”, as part of the Social Intervention strand.
Ms. Reem Rabah, Director of the Development & Finance Office at Al-Makassed, gave a historical overview of the role that Al-Makassed has played since its establishment in 1878 until today, especially in the field of social intervention and the future of social work.
