Appointment of Dr. Zeina Daher in the National Scientific Committee for Food Safety
Dr. Zeina Daher from the Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) was appointed among the eight expert members of the Scientific Committee for Food Safety, pursuant to a decision issued on 1 September 2021 by the former Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan.
The Committee's work includes proposing a national strategy for food safety, conducting ongoing scientific discussions with the assistance of a number of universities and concerned institutions, and finding solutions in emergency situations.
In addition to Dr. Daher, the Committee includes Engineer Joyce Haddad, Dr. Hussein Hassan, Dr. Andre Khoury, Dr. Mohammad Abyad, Dr. Layal Karam, Dr. Nada Al-Durra and Dr. Mireille Sarhan.
